FAQ: Where can I get your book F*cked Up Fairy Tales?
You can get it at any bookseller or store that sells new books. I recommend your favorite independent bookstore! But it is also available through big box stores, online retailers, and department stores. Do you have a podcast? I host an occasional podcast exclusive to Patreon. There are several episodes free to the public that you can preview. I have also been a guest on American Hysteria, The Bechdel Cast, Grimm Grimmer Grimmest, and You Are Good, among others. I have direct links to those on my lnk.bio. Where do you find your fairy tales? Besides my large book collection, I am a frequent user of The Internet Archive, Project Gutenberg, and my local library. I provide my favorite sources here. How do you become a librarian? Some jobs in libraries are paraprofessional, but most librarian positions require a masters degree in Library and Information Sciences. If you can afford grad school, getting your MLS or MLIS is a good place to start. How do you become a folklore expert? I am not an expert; I am an enthusiast! But masters programs in folklore or storytelling exist, and you can take college-level folklore courses for an affordable price with the fabulous ladies of The Carterhaugh School. (Disclaimer: I am an affiliate for select courses.) What is your favorite fairy tale? "Allerleirauh," "The Snow Queen," and "The Happy Prince" are among my many favorites. What is your favorite book? I reread both The Dark is Rising series by Susan Cooper and The Winter Prince by Elizabeth Wein frequently. They are both riffs on Arthurian legend.
